Each Sunday we celebrate the Lord's supper, also known as the Holy Eucharist, the Mass, or Holy Communion. We sing our faith, read Scripture, hear a sermon, and pray. We remember Christ's dying and rising again by sharing bread and wine at God's table. All who hunger and thirst for Christ are always welcome to receive communion, the bread and wine of Christ's body and blood.
The services of this congregation follow a simple pattern laid out in The Book of Common Prayer. If you have experience with a liturgical church (for example, the Roman Catholic or Lutheran Church), the Sunday service will seem quite familiar to you.
A new church and a new worship service can be intimidating. But there are no mistakes in worship -- even when we forget something, sing out of key, or say something in the wrong spot God is with us. Only God is perfect. We delight in being together in God's presence.
Please come and experience worship at St. John and St. James, rejoicing in God's love for us and for the whole world!
